The State Consultative Council
Components and Powers
The State Consultative Council is the Supreme Court that handles the administrative judiciary.
Its inception dates back to 1924, meaning its existence preceded the Lebanese constitution. The council is distinguished by its competence to consider disputes involving public administrations, which makes it a place of direct contact with the political authority, especially when it considers revisions to invalidate decrees.

Methods of reviewing against the decisions of the State Council
The decisions of the State Council do not accept any method of review except objection, objection of others, retrial and request for correction of material error. Since the State Council is the Supreme Administrative Court, the appeal is before this Council and is considered by the chamber that issued the contested decision.
